Pre-Observation Lesson on Descriptive Writing
I expect this lesson to go well. The students have already been learning about how to use "sizzling" words to make their written work sound better. They have even been practicing how to use the Thesaurus to replace less descriptive words with words that show instead of tell. This week, students learned how to detect the mood in stories. However, this is still fresh material that requires further instruction. I know one or two students get rather flustered when learning something new, so I anticipate some students needing additional help. I will also be working to perfect my teaching ability. Managing interruptions during the lesson will be one of my top priorities.
