Due to problems video taping my observed lesson, I had to teach another lesson that is different from my observed lesson. It was quite a challenge walking into a classroom, being told what to teach, then teaching it without any planning. That is definitely something I would do differently next time. Observing my classroom management skills also proved interesting. I need to have a way to get students attention without just raising my arm in the air. I do think I work well one-on-one with students. I get on their level, I look them in the eye, and I really want them to succeed. I listen to them and try to give feedback that is helpful and encouraging.
